National Penguin Day
RBEA Members celebrated National Penguin Day with their students. RBEA members created cross curricular activities with a penguin theme. Mrs. Marsh’s and Miss Milite’s students learned and labeled the parts of the penguin as Miss Schumacher dressed up as a penguin. Mrs. Parry, Mrs. Izzo, and Miss Schumacher read Penguin Chick for the ELA weekly lessons with the third grade. Mrs. Coulther’s math class created penguin fractions. Mrs. Crum created penguin costumes and lead a penguin parade. Mrs. Medore, Mrs. Tuluca, and Mrs. Yobs worked on penguin glyphs with their second grade students. Miss Hartman, Mrs. Parent, and Mrs. Rich studied penguins in science class and read stories about penguins throughout the week. Miss Milite and Mrs. Leslie performed the penguin dance with their preschoolers. Miss Starr and Miss McGeehan sang penguin songs and made penguin snacks. We are a spirited bunch in Rockaway Borough!
